In 1969 the Doe Run Volenterre Fire Department was formed and in 1997 the Doe Run Fire Protection District was voted in. Doe Run Fire Protection District is a Tax Base Fire District meaning our income is gererated thruogh a percent of assesed value on property taxes. Which means you are not requried to purecuse a fire tag to receive fire protection. We responed to many different types of emergency calls; all types of fires, water rescues, medical calls, as well as many more. Doe Run Fire Protection District has a State Certified Wildland Search and Rescue Team avialible 24hrs a day for a large part of Southeast Missouri.
